Istanbul Gelişim University Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences, Faculty of Fine Arts, Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, Faculty of Applied Sciences and İstanbul Gelişim Vocational School; became candidates for the “Orange Flag” and “Green Flag” due to the arrangements they made in the “Access in Space” and “Access in Education” categories within the scope of the Council of Higher Education Presidency Barrier-Free University Flags Program.
Various evaluations were made upon the application made by İstanbul Gelişim University to the Barrier-Free University Awards organized within the scope of the Council of Higher Education Presidency Barrier-Free University Program, which aims to raise awareness about the access of disabled individuals studying in higher education institutions to spaces, educational opportunities and socio-cultural activities; and carries out studies in cooperation with all higher education institutions for disadvantaged students.
İstanbul Gelişim University J Blok Tower Campus, where the Faculty of Fine Arts (GSF) and the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture (MMF) are located, was entitled to receive the “Orange Flag” award in the “Access in Space” category with its works. Istanbul Gelisim University Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences (FEAS) became an “Orange Flag” candidate in the “Access in Space” category, and a “Green Flag” candidate in the “Access in Education” category. Istanbul Gelisim Vocational School (IGMYO) became a “Green Flag” candidate in the “Access in Education” category; Istanbul Gelisim University Faculty of Applied Sciences (UBF) became an “Orange Flag” candidate in the “Access in Space” category.
